Family Fun Night 2018

On Friday 16^th November, we held our annual Family Fun Night. It was a fantastic event with lots of school spirit and a warm, generous community atmosphere. From the moment you walked in, you were greeted with excitement from the various show cars on display and the fabulous sprint car that many dads seemed to drift towards. The variety of food stalls available this year was met with appreciation from the community as they had more choice, which meant less wait times. Year Six offered fun galore with a variety of activities to play and get involved in including sponge throwing, coin toss, ninja warrior, sock wrestling, coloured hair spray and chocolate wheel to name just a few. While the kids played their games, the teachers offered a variety of activities for the adults to enjoy including a bargain grocery grab game, Lady Luck lucky dip and a blind balloon game that ensured everyone was a winner! Adults and kids a-like enjoyed getting their face painted and selecting a show bag or two! We were treated to fantastic performances from the very talented students at Hoxton Park High School who went above and beyond for us. It was a pleasure watching our choir and junior dance groups perform, and who could forget the surprisingly amazing flash mob! The highlight of the night was the mega raffle which saw many people take home some of the most amazing prizes we have ever had on offer.

Events like this do not come together easily. On behalf of the students and teachers at Middleton Grange Public School, we would like to thank Alex and Melissa from Open Minds Psychology http://www.open-minds.com.au/ for their generous $1000 donation as platinum sponsors. I would also like to thank Mrs Ksenija McCarlie for her tireless efforts in creating such a wonderful event together with Mrs Dredge, Miss Cocks, Miss O’Neil, Miss Turrin and myself. A big thank you to all of the wonderful teachers and parents who contributed their time and resources in many various ways to ensure a successful evening. Your donations, time and resources mean we collected in excess of $7500 and can now look towards what we can provide for your children next year and beyond.
